User Interfaces
The Frontend is to be a single User Interface, intended to be used by users in ages ranging from 3 to 65 years, teachers, students, parents and administrative personnel, sharing all the same range of functionalities but limiting access accordingly to their role and/or school grade.
To accomplish this goal, the Frontend should be composed of configurable widgets, so an element can be shown/hidden/customised accordingly.
Four main divisions can be seen in this UI, splitting the widgets into blocks:
- Preschool – ranging ages from 3 to 5 years old kids
- Primary – ranging ages from 6 to 12 years old kids
- Secondary – ranging ages from 13 to 17 years old youngsters
- JJAA – ranging ages from 18 to 20 years old adults
(age ranges are not fixed and are just an idea of the target audiences)
Three main roles can operate the UI, splitting the functions into blocks:
- students
- teachers
- admins
(More than one type of admin can exist, each with certain permissions to operate or not certain modules, but the UI is to be practically the same for all)
Each function and widget is to be specified in Section 3, where the permissions and configuration for each is to be stated as well.
