Teacher → Messages and notifications
Teachers have access to the messaging and notification service. At the top right, a bell icon will notify the user when he or she receives a message:
In the message service we can find:
- My messages: Received messages.
- Sent messages: Messages sent by the teacher to the students.
- System messages: Platform messages (maintenance warnings, etc).
Only the teacher can send direct messages to students. Students will not be able to reply to or send messages to teachers or other students.
To send a new message, click on the section New message in My Messages.
In the form, select the class you want to communicate with, and choose the students who will receive the message (the "Select all" option will make all students in the class receive it).
Once sent, students will receive the new notice created by the teacher in their message center.
Every time a student performs an assignment or exam, the teacher receives a notification in the message center. This way the teacher can keep track of those students who have completed their assignments. The teacher will also receive a notification when a requested report is ready:
