NedsApp Zoom - Integration

NEDS is an educational and global platform which makes it possible to develop and manage digital education in a simpler and more personalized manner. NEDS is offered in Latin America countries. Therefore, the available languages are Spanish and Portuguese.

The platform is an easy-to use, intuitive, friendly and social virtual environment which integrates digital content, assessment tools and academic management. 

NEDS makes it possible to administrate, distribute, monitor, evaluate and support in a personalized manner all the classroom activities, and faster communication between teachers, students and families. This application incorporates all the digital content of each subject, interactive activities, exam generation and school reports, messaging, calendars, statistics, reports, etc. A tool for teachers and students that enables them to have their daily school lives just a click away.

In NedsApp Zoom, Teachers using the Zoom integration from the Calendar application (NEDS)  will be able to create meetings on specific dates in order to give online lessons to their students.


Installation:

  1. In order to create a meeting it is necessary to use a Zoom account or Google/Facebook account related to a Zoom account and authorize NedsApp Zoom:



  • Using your Zoom account:
  1. Login using your Zoom account.
  2. Click on authorize.
  3. The meeting will be created.
  • Using your Gmail account:
  1. Login using your Gmail account.
  2. *Follow the Gmail instructions to create a Zoom account related to your Gmail account.
  3. Click on authorize.
  4. The meeting will be created.
  • Using your Facebook Account
  1. Login using your Facebook user and password
  2. *Follow the Facebook instructions to create a Zoom account related to your Facebook account.
  3. Click on authorize.
  4. The meeting will be created.

*You will have to make these settings if you do not already have a Zoom account.


Access to the platform

From the NEDS portal, teachers and students, both can access to the different Businesses / Companies (currently 3) served by the system https://www.stn-neds.com/



The Teacher / Student select the Business / Company and
the system will display the login screen:



Once the access data, Nombre de usuario - Contraseña, has been entered, t
he available apps screen is displayed for the Teacher / Student


In the group IntegrAgenda,
the Calendar application is located, the application used by teachers and students for the creation and use of NedsApp Zoom



Once on this screen the Teacher will be able to create meetings on specific dates in order to give online lessons to their students following the next steps:

How to create a meeting

Teachers will have to create a new event through the school class calendar or the global calendar pressing the button “NEW EVENT - NUEVO EVENTO”:

The event must be filled with a title (required), destinatarios / recipients (optional), descripcion / description (required), Todo el día / all day (optional), Destacar / Stand out (opcional)date and time and its calendar representation based on the date and time (only duration, only start and end, show all days):

When everything is filled, the teacher will have to press “Aula Online” and select Zoom in order to create a Zoom meeting:


NedsApp will redirect to Zoom where teachers will have to log in using their Zoom users or using their Google/Facebook accounts. Once they have logged in successfully, the Zoom meeting will be created:


Press “save” to create the event:

Important note: Modifying the title of the event or the date and time once the Zoom meeting has already been created will remove it, so the teacher will have to create it again.

  • How to join a meeting:

Teachers and students

Teachers and students will have to click on the event that has been created in their calendars:

On the details of the event, they will have to press “Join Zoom meeting - Unirse al aula online de Zoom” and will be redirected to that Zoom Meeting

Uninstalling NEDS App for Zoom Add-on: 

  1. Login to your Zoom Account and navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace.
  2. Click Manage > Installed Apps or search for the NEDS App for Zoom app.
  3. Click the app.
  4. Click Uninstall.
